06/01/20 - Fixes and improvements


Here's the newest batch of updates based on feedback from players:

''Laser Mission is too hard!''

It was tuned to be fairer at such an early stage.

''Tunnel gameplay has an unintended extra step''

This was originally intended this way, but people have complained a lot about that, so I guess it needs fixing. To be 100% transparent, it was one of the first things I did when I started learning RPG Maker, so it's stupid, buggy, and faulty. 

So I scrapped it completely and redid it from scratch. Now there's a tunnel vision effect and you can actually stand on the border of the wall before walking out. This is a major quality of live improvement for the players and make the game look much better finished. It is light on the processor and many other things. It took me a lot of tries but I think it does it's job now.

''Dark Floor mission is weird and guards give you a  stroke when you finish''
The Training missions started as playgrounds to test the tools and mechanics, so they were simplistic or just not fun. They're also the fruits of me learning the basics of stealth gaming, that's why they lack polish.  Mission 4, the one with the dark path, is an example of a stage that was unmodified since I started. I will find a better solution to the floor thing, I just don't know what yet.

About the guards giving you a heart-attack: That was intended too, some people complained, some people liked. I personally liked that, but if more people complain, I'll fix that. It's not a bug.

''I don't know when I can cloak/dash!''

There's a GUI now dedicated to show when Dashing/Cloaking is possible.

''The Laser/Dash mission bug''
Players reported that getting hit by the laser while dashing would freeze them in dashing mode. May be frame specific. It was a bug that I had fixed earlier, but I haven't experienced since. I tried a couple dozen times to replicate it but it just doesn't happen in my hardware. Originally the Dash would not trigger the laser, but it doesn't make sense as you're simply running forward.

''The Cloak bug''
Game would not disable cloak timer/transparency when getting caught while cloaked. It is fixed now.

I ALSO ADDED:

-A proper opening.

-The PC at the nexus now keeps track of missions finished.

-Controls are better explained.
